Blair, Dec 26: In its drive to wipe out the nuisance of illegal sale of liquor
and bootlegging, the team of Special Branch (CID) consisting ASI Jayachandran,
Constables G. Ravi and Surfuddin under the supervision of Inspr. D. Jagdishwar
Rao carried out raid at Fisheries Jetty, Phoenix Bay on 20/12/2018 and
recovered 113 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquors (IMFL). In this connection
one A. Bhoominathan, S/o Shri Alagumalai, R/o Fisheries jetty was arrested and
a case under excise Regulations has been registered against him. The raid was
conducted under the over-all supervision of Shri R. K. Sharma, Dy. SP (CID).
The Police will continue to fight against this menace to eradicate the illegal
trade of illicit liquor and IMFL from this Union Territory.
The
general public is requested to inform about any credible information pertaining
to gambling, illegal sale or possession of liquor/ drugs or any other illegal

9474228912, 232586 and 100. The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
