Blair, Dec 26: Upon efforts of MP Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, the Ministry of
Environment & Forest has accorded CRZA clearance of Middle Strait Creek
Bridge. Consequent upon that the NHIDCL is now ready to give appointment to M/s
Vasista Mantena (JV) on 28.12.2018 to start the work for construction of Middle
Strait Creek Bridge between 106.590 KMs to 107.762 KMs awarded to at a cost
Rs.170.40 Crores.
In
pursuant to another demand of M.P. for up-gradation of NH-4 for the stretch of
181.00 kms to 206.00kms between Rangat and Kadamtala for total 25 kilometers
length, the NHIDCL, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has issued the
Letter of Award (LOA) of the work to M/s Garg Sons Estate Promotors Pvt. Ltd,
Chandigarh at a cost of Rs.54.00 Crores on 28.11.2018. The Contractor, now in
process of mobilization of heavy machineries at work site for under taking the
construction work which to be completed within one year from the date of award
of work.
In
the matter of repair of existing dilapidated roads of NH-4 particularly the
stretch of road from Farrargunj to Jirkatang, Baratang area, Kadamtala area,
Kausalyanagar area and Diglipur Stadium area, the NHIDCL has taken the issue
seriously and earmarked an amount of Rs.10.00 Crores to make above area of NH-4
for trafficable/ vehicle worthy by the local contractors within 30.12.2018, a
press release from MP Office said here today.
