House guts in fire accident at Bindraban
Port Blair, Jan 30: On Jan 27th afternoon, a fire was at a semi-RCC house belong to Smt. Vidyawati Devi, W/o Gore Lall, R/o Brindraban under Ferrargunj Tehsil, in the fire accident the house was completely gutted, sources said.
The fire was informed around 1.35 pm, in few minutes the Fire Tenders reached the spot and by 2:51 pm the fire was brought under total control. It is learnt that Short circuit was the reason for this fire accident. Sources further said, the incident could have turn in to a huge shape, but prompt response by Fire Services team was brought under control before it spread further.

Our worthy fire service averts another accident
Port Blair, Jan 30: A Fire was reported from the garbage dump area of vegetable market at Bhatu Basthi this evening. As per sources some people tried to burn the garbage, but it went out of control alarming threat to nearby market and houses, in view of the situation it was informed to the fire brigade by the people. Two fire tenders barely reached the spot and controlled the fire immediately. No casualties reported.

Supply of LPG cylinders from Brookshabad curtails
Port Blair, Jan 30: The Consumer Cooperative Stores Ltd. has decided to minimize issue of cylinders from LPG Godown at Brookshabad. Accordingly, issue of cylinders from the LPG Godown at Brookshabad will be carried out in the forenoon i.e from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon only and there will be no supply of LPG refills in the afternoon hours with effect from February 01, 2019.

Body found after missing in sea
Great Nicobar, Jan 29: The body of Mr. Manoj Kumar, a 22 year old youth of Rajiv Nagar, Great Nicobar, was found on Jan 29 from Laxman beach at Great Nicobar. Who had gone missing since Jan 27.
As per sources, he had gone for fishing on Jan 27, with four other folks of his area, but while returning back, he and one other kid jumped into sea to cross an inundated area of the Laxman Beach. Where, due to high waves both pulled into deep sea. Other kids were shouted for help then some people from nearby area came for rescue and one saved, but by that time Mr. Manoj Kumar had gone missing.
