Peaceful polling held in A&N Islands; people awaits for declaration day




Port Blair, April 17: "The allocation of votes per booth is not properly distributed in the municipal area", says some citizens of the Port Blair, due to which the percentage in the Port Blari area was effected. However, Polling was held in the Islands for the lone Lok Sabha seat from the A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency was held on Apr 11, 2019. The overall poll percentage of A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency stood at 64.85%. Polling was conducted in a peaceful and smooth manner throughout the Islands and there was no untoward incident reported from any part of the Islands. Brisk polling was noticed during morning and evening hours and the polling booths witnessed a good turn-out everywhere. Meanwhile, the polled EVMs are being collected at the collection centre at JNRM strong room. And the results will be declared on Mary 23, 2019.
