Port Blair, Mar 25: As a
mark of precaution
in the wake of the threat from
the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), various directives have been issued
to all concerned for strict implementation of lockdown in A&N Islands,
which will be in force till 14th of April, 2020.
Some of
the licenses and registrations issued by various Departments under A&N
Administration to various persons, authorities, establishments etc. may get
expired during the lock down period or soon thereafter. In order to remove any
difficulty to common people, it has been notified that all the existing
licenses and registrations issued by all the Departments under A&N
Administration, getting expired till 30th April, 2020 shall be deemed to have
been extended till 30th April, 2020.
It has
also been clarified that automatic renewal of the licenses and registrations,
however shall not empower any persons or establishment to perform any act on
the basis of such licenses and registrations in contravention of various orders
issued by all the Departments of A&N Administration implementing lockdown
period regarding COV1D-19.
