Mar 18: As a mark abundant
precaution on account of the threat from the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) and
on the basis of various advisories and directives from the Govt. of India and
the A&N Administration, the Commissioner Food Safety, A&N Islands has
issued some guidelines for the hoteliers, restaurant operators and other food
vending establishments of A&N Islands for strictly adherence. These
include:
* They shall make arrangements for the supply of hand
sanitizer / soap with water, hand washing facility at the entrance of premises
for visitor/customers.
* Ensuring sanitization of door opening knobs, furnitures,
wash rooms, toilets etc.
* All food handlers may be provided masks as per
World Health Organization norms.
* Ensuring that on each serving table, there should
be a minimum distance of one meter between the patrons.
* Persons (including staff) with flu like symptoms/respiratory
issues shall not be allowed in the premises and the matter may be reported on
helpline number 03192-232102 for further necessary action.
* Ensuring that the minimum standard of cleanliness
and hygiene is maintained as per cleaning protocol issued by the A&N
Administration.
Any violation of the above
order shall entail legal action as per Law.
