Port Blair, 22 Aug: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Engineer and a Junior Engineer on Aug 21, 2018, both working in Andaman & Lakshadweep Harbour Work Ltd., Port Blair for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 22,000/- each from the complainant. The case was registered on a complaint wherein it was alleged that the accused had demanded a bribe from the complainant for allowing him to execute the Road repairing Work. CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe or Rs. 22,000/- each from the complainant. Both the arrested accused was produced before the Special Court, Port Blair.

It creates awareness among the people regarding their rights and duties. Obviously, the youths serving since years together under concern department as DRMs are now finds themselves locked in the social order.
