‘Manipulation in the proposed list of candidates for Malaria/ Filaria Inspector’ allege citizens

TMI Bureau Port Blair, Feb 06: The Deputy Director (Malaria), Directorate of Health Services has circulated a memo on 29/01/2019 among the probable workers for appearing before the Interview Board at 3.00 pm on 13/01/2019, under the zone of consideration for promotion to the post of Malaria Inspector, and list of 9 names i.e. Karunanithi (Insect Collector), Nabore (Surveillance Worker), Robert (SW), Krsihna Das (SW), Sabbir Mehmood (SW), T.A. Hunais   (SW), N. Abdul Gafoor (SW), R. Sekhar (SW), and P. Zubair (SW) were proposed for the same in that memo, but some proposed names in the year 2017 was removed, reasons best known the Directorate of Health. The names of 6 who are already in 2017 proposed list were removed from the latest one are Gauranga Biswas (Insect Collector), Amjad Khan (SW), Prem Kumar (SW), Shabir Mehmood (SW), Raghu Ram (SW), Dipankar Das (SW). ANMF honours Eight Islanders; Secretary (Arts & Culture) appreciates the effort and initiative of ANMF

TMI Correspondent Port Blair, Jan 23: The Andaman Nicobar Media Federation (ANMF) on 23 January 2019 honored eight Islanders with ‘ANMF Andaman Heroes Award – 2019’ in appreciation of their valuable and selfless services towards Society and the People in the A&N Islands. The function was held in the Conference Hall of HOTEL MANSHA REGENCY, Opp. Secondary School, Delanipur, Port Blair this evening. Mrs. Neha Bansal (IAS), Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture, A&N Administration was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was started after lighting the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and others special guests. Meanwhile, Mr. Avinash, one of the awardees, presented two mesmerizing self composed songs during the Award Function, “My Heart Turns Shakespear” on the subject of world peace and “Maula” on the subject of Love for God.
