TMI Correspondent Port Blair, Sept 29: It appears that some youths in these islands are not only consuming various drugs but also engaging in the illegal drug supply business, which has become a cause for concern regarding the future of the youth. A 28-year-old individual who already has two criminal cases under the Extortion Act and IT Act is now facing charges under the NDPS Act. Youths at their age could attempt to crack government job exams, plan for legal online/offline businesses, pursue legal self-employment, or work for reputable agencies or organizations. However, choosing to engage in illegal businesses by any means may destroy the career and future of any individual. TMI Bureau Port Blair, Sept 27: The employment fair was conducted at 46 locations nationwide and PM Modi distributed nearly 51,000 appointment letters across India. Indian Cyclists: Rising Stars at the Asian Games 2023

New Delhi, Sept 20: A total of 10 Indian cyclists have been selected by the Cycling Federation of India to compete in the upcoming Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China. The selected cyclists will be seen competing in two disciplines: Sprint and Madison. Esow Alben, the young Indian cyclist from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands first burst onto the scene in 2019 when he became the first Indian to win a medal at a World Championship. His silver in the world junior championships made him one of India's best cyclists at the tender age of 18. Now with experience under his belt, he became the first Indian to win a medal in a top European race when he won bronze at the Finale Bahnen-Tournee in Germany earlier this year. Certainly, he is a star in the making, and he is India's best hope to win a medal in cycling for the first time since 1951.

Port Blair, Sept 20: The renowned chef of A&N Islands, Mr. Ashwar Pal Singh, owner of 4 Seasons Event Management, initially planned to craft a 500+ Kgs laddu for the festive occasion. However, he and his team's effort doubled down the Laddu by 1009 Kgs. The mammoth laddu was put on display at the 4 Seasons campus on VIP road have drawn large crowds. Islanders from all over have flocked to the venue to witness Andaman's very first and record-breaking 1009 KG Laddu. Awareness about eye donation was created at Chinmaya Mission

TMI Correspondent Port Blair on Sept 13: This awareness program was organized as part of the 38th National Eye Donation Fortnight, which took place from August 25th to September 8th, 2023. The program was organized by the National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI), Directorate of Health Services, UT Health Mission A&N Administration, and it was held in the conference hall of Chinmaya Mission on September 3rd, 2023. Speaking on the occasion, Swami Shuddananda Saraswati (Guruji) recalled the importance of eyes in every living being's life by explaining the meaning of "Sarvendriyanam Nayanam Pradhanam." Impressive paintings, sculptures on the theme Mangrove- an exhibition with a difference

TMI Correspondent Kolkata/Port Blair: Of late, the art lovers of Kolkata and many from places in and around the city had the opportunity of seeing a conglomeration of paintings and sculpture by a group of promising artists under the aegis of an organisation appropriately named 'Mangrove'. It was the Seventh Annual Painting - Sculpture Exhibition of this unique organisation held for a week at the 'New South Gallery' of the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Among the participants in the said exhibition were altogether 19 painters, sculptors and cartoonists.
