Is the Prime Minister & Union Ministers, A&N Administration committed to transform people from readers to viewers?
Port Blair, July 19: It is observed that, in the name of digitalization or may be as part of digitalization the Prime Minister & Union Ministers, A&N Administration seems committed to transform people from readers to viewers. For the past 5 years the print media in A&N Islands has been sidelined by the various authorities (Centre & UT). During the period, several ministers have visited these Islands, few Chief Secretaries and Director General of Police have moved without a single press meet or interaction with media in these A&N Islands. For a glaring example, the print media in these islands have not been invited to take part in the inaugural function of the New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) of the Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair.
